AHA Digital Safety Track 2 is a free six-module digital safety course for students in grades 9–10. It is developed by the Appalachian Hope Academy Foundation and The Proudfoot Group to meet the requirements of NC House Bill 959 (SL 2025-38), which mandates social media literacy instruction in all NC public schools beginning the 2026–2027 school year.
Module 3 covers sextortion — a topic mandated by HB 959. This module is designed to be direct, non-traumatizing, and empowering. It focuses on recognition, response, and resources. We recommend educators preview Module 3 before assigning it in a classroom context.
This course collects zero personal information from students. No accounts, no email addresses, no names stored on our servers. Quiz scores and progress save only in the student's browser via localStorage and are never transmitted anywhere.
Hosting: Netlify — standard server access logs (IP, browser type). No advertising use. Fonts: Self-hosted — no Google Fonts requests. Videos/Images: Generated by Runway AI and Google Gemini during production; these are static files served locally. No third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks.
Schools may deploy this course as part of their HB 959 curriculum. No individual parental consent forms for data collection are required — there is no data being collected. Contact us for a school partnership letter for your records.
